Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 August 2026

This document describes the use of cookies and tracking tools on https://wecoode.it, operated by We Coode, rete d'impresa, in line with the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of 10 June 2021 and Art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save in the user's browser while browsing. Alongside cookies there are equivalent tools — such as the browser's local storage and tracking pixels — that make it possible to store or read information on the device. In this document all these tools are treated the same way: those that are not strictly necessary are activated only with your prior consent.

2. Categories in the banner

The website's cookie banner distinguishes five categories, which you can accept or refuse individually:

  • Necessary — essential for the website to work and to store your cookie choices. They require no consent and cannot be disabled.
  • Functionality — enable additional features requested by the user, such as the Cal.com booking widget.
  • Measurement — allow aggregated statistics on website usage to be collected through Google Analytics 4.
  • Marketing — would allow personalised advertising and remarketing. No tool in this category is currently active on the website.
  • Experience — would allow content and interface to be personalised based on user behaviour. No tool in this category is currently active on the website.

3. Cookies and tools in use

List of active tools

Below are the tools currently used by the website. Those in the Measurement category are installed only after you have given the corresponding consent through the banner; before then, no statistical cookie is written to your device.

ProviderPurposeTypeDuration
https://wecoode.it (c15t)Stores the consent preferences given through the banner in the browser's local storage, so it is not shown on every visit. The choice is also recorded on our servers, with date and time, the categories accepted or refused, the IP address in masked form, the browser type and approximate location data (country, region and city) derived locally from the IP address. The full IP address is not retained; the record is kept as proof of consent.NecessaryLocal storage: until withdrawn or browser data is cleared. Server-side record: 24 months
https://wecoode.itTechnical session cookies necessary for the website to work correctly, for language handling and for request security.NecessarySession
Google Tag ManagerLoads and manages measurement tags according to the consent given, applying Google Consent Mode v2. It does not set cookies of its own.Necessary (tag management)No cookies of its own
Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*)Distinguishes users and sessions to produce aggregated statistics on page views, interaction events and traffic sources. Activated only with consent to the Measurement category.Measurement (statistical)Up to 2 years
Cal.comHandles consultation bookings through the embedded booking widget. The cookie is set only when the user actively interacts with the widget.FunctionalSession / up to 30 days

4. How consent is handled technically

The website uses Google Consent Mode v2. On first load, all consent signals for measurement, advertising, functionality and personalisation are set to "denied": tags are loaded but write no cookies and send no identifying data. Only after your explicit choice in the banner do the corresponding signals switch to "granted" and statistical collection begin. If you refuse, Google Analytics installs no cookies and receives no browsing data attributable to your device. The choices made in the banner are also recorded on a server of ours located in the European Union, through the self-hosted c15t system: there are therefore no transfers outside the EU for this data. For each choice we retain the date and time, the categories accepted or refused, the detected jurisdiction, the browser type used and the IP address in masked form — the last octet is zeroed, so the address can no longer be traced back to an individual device. This record fulfils the obligation to demonstrate consent under Article 7(1) GDPR, is not used for tracking purposes, is not shared with third parties and is retained for 24 months.

5. Third-party services

Google Tag Manager

The website uses Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to manage measurement scripts centrally. The service sets no cookies of its own, but loading it involves transmitting your IP address to Google's servers, which is necessary to deliver the script. Tags governed by Tag Manager are activated only where the corresponding consent is present.

Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, produces aggregated statistics on website usage. The property is configured with Consent Mode v2 and without advertising features: advertising signals are not enabled, no remarketing audiences are created and demographic reports are switched off. Google Analytics 4 does not store the IP address: it uses it only at collection time to estimate approximate location and discards it immediately afterwards. Cal.com

The website embeds the Cal.com booking widget so users can schedule a consultation call. Cal.com is a scheduling service operated by Cal.com, Inc. (USA). When the user interacts with the widget, Cal.com may set its own functional cookies. Cal.com's processing is governed by its privacy policy, available at cal.com/privacy.

Google Fonts

The website uses the Geist and Geist Mono typefaces through Next.js' next/font/google system. This implementation downloads the font files at build time and serves them directly from our servers: the user's browser makes no request to Google's servers while browsing and no Google Fonts cookies are set.

Unsplash

Some images on the website come from the Unsplash library (images.unsplash.com) and are optimised by our infrastructure before being served. These requests set no cookies and involve no user tracking.

Email service (SMTP)

Notifications and confirmations relating to contact requests are sent through an SMTP provider. This service operates entirely server-side, sets no cookies and has no impact on the user's browser.

6. Advertising and profiling cookies

The website currently uses no advertising, remarketing or profiling cookies: there is no Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Google Ads tag, heat mapping or session recording tool installed. The Marketing and Experience categories are nonetheless present in the banner to handle the possible future activation of such tools: as long as no tag is active, consenting to those categories installs no cookies. Should new tools be introduced, this page will be updated and consent will be requested again.

7. How to manage consent and cookies

You can change or withdraw your preferences at any time by reopening the cookie preferences panel, also available through the "Manage cookies" link in the footer of every page. Alternatively, you can manage or disable cookies directly in your browser settings: disabling technical cookies may however impair some website features. Below are the guides for the main browsers:

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We Coode, rete d'impresa reserves the right to amend this Cookie Policy, in particular if new tracking tools are introduced. Changes will be published on this page with an updated date at the top of the document.
