Lock and Go

Automated luggage locker network in Como and Milan: booking engine, PIN access, remote management. No staff on site, 4.9/5 on Google from 300+ reviews.

Lock&Go platform for booking and remotely managing automated luggage storage lockers in Como and Milan

Lock&Go

Check-out at 10, check-in at 3. Five hours in between, a suitcase in tow, and a city to see.

Lock&Go closes that gap with a network of automated lockers in Como and Milan. No staff, no keys: book from the browser in thirty seconds, get a six-digit PIN, open the locker and go. From €1.49 an hour.

There is no staff in the hubs. We built the software that runs them: booking engine, access system, remote hardware management and analytics dashboard, plus the multilingual site and the SEO and GEO strategies that bring travellers to book.

What we built

  • Booking engine. City, date, locker size, duration: four fields and the booking is done. Instant confirmation by email and SMS, free cancellation up to an hour before, and Generali insurance cover up to €500 included in every booking. Payments by card, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay over 256-bit SSL.
  • PIN access. A six-digit code generated for a single booking, valid only inside the booked window and expiring automatically at the end. The terminal opens offline too: travellers with no mobile data still get in. No app to download.
  • Remote management system. Real-time locker status, automated alerts, remote diagnostics and remote opening on certified 4.0 hardware. This is what keeps the hubs running around the clock with nobody on site.
  • Anomalous access monitoring. After three wrong PINs, the security team gets the alert in three seconds.
  • Analytics dashboard. Occupancy, usage flows and per-hub performance: the data Lock&Go uses to decide how many lockers go where, and where the next hub opens.
  • Multilingual site and SEO. An IT/EN site, a local page for each hub, and a travel-guide blog built around what international tourists actually search for in Como and Milan.
  • GEO strategy. Travellers now ask ChatGPT where to leave their bags. We made the service legible to AI assistants: a bilingual llms.txt carrying locations, hours, pricing and direct booking links, LocalBusiness and FAQPage structured data on every page, and answers written in the exact form the questions get asked.

Outcomes

  • 4.9/5 on Google, from over 300 verified reviews left in Italian, English, German, French and Polish.
  • Zero security incidents across all locations since launch.
  • From one hub to three. Como in 2024, Milano Centrale and Milano Duomo in 2026: two openings in the same year, and every new hub is added from configuration.
  • Organic searches from 90 countries over the last six months, tracked in Google Search Console.
  • For “lock and go como”, first position on Google and a CTR above 20%. People searching directly for the service find it straight away.
  • The Como parking guide generated nearly 65,000 organic impressions and 2,000 clicks in six months.
  • In the four weeks after the v2 release, organic clicks and impressions increased compared with the prior four weeks.
